What Is Drive-Up Storage?
A drive-up unit opens directly to the outside at ground level. You bring a car, truck or trailer up to the door, open it, and move things the few feet between the vehicle and the unit.
The alternative, common at multi-storey facilities, is an interior unit: park in a bay, unload onto a cart, take a lift or walk a corridor, then repeat. Both store your things. Only one of them lets you finish in one trip from the tailgate.
Pull Up to Your Unit
The carrying distance is the length of your vehicle, not the length of a building. That is the whole difference, and it is the one people notice on move-in day — in weather, after dark, or when there is only one person doing the lifting.
